On September 13, approximately 12,000 people attended the seventh edition of the Côte-des-Neiges en fête, 5 continents, 5 sens event, spread out over 2 km along Côte-des-Neiges Road. This year, a myriad of activities were on offer. Among them was a clinic to detect glaucoma, thanks to the support of the Lions Club of Metropolitan Montréal and Constant Di Girolamo, former political attaché to the Mont-Royal MLA. A self-guided tour route designed by the CDEC provided the opportunity for people to discover some 10 businesses embodying the theme of 5 continents, 5 sens. The Côte-des-Neiges leisure centre handed out cotton candy. The most courageous let themselves be drawn by a caricaturist on the grounds of the Notre-Dame-des-Neiges church. One by one, politicians highlighted the contributions, creativity and organizational skills of the members of the coordination committee and the involvement of dozens of volunteers, some of whom were already hard at work at seven o’clock in the morning. A party for volunteers and partners took place on September 28 to celebrate this collective success.
