The Budget d'initiatives locales (BIL) is a fund that supports local initiatives projects that aim to develop, prepare and promote the employment potential of unemployed persons. These projects help people get into the labour market through new approaches to existing problems. Priority is given to a clientele that is receiving employment assistance benefits, employment insurance benefits or who are without income, whose precarious financial situation represents a barrier to the development of their employment potential.
The Employability Roundtable (Table de concertation des organismes en employabilité- TCOE) is a project initiated by the CDEC in 1993 to support joint action by employability organizations in CDN/NDG.
Available in French since 2001 as the Outil d'analyse de compétence, the first English Skills Assessment group activity took place in the autumn of 2004.
