"I'm active in Notre-Dame-de-Grâce"

"I'm active in Notre-Dame-de-Grâce" is our locale version of Équiterre's "Je m'active dans mon quartier" campaign. This campaign aims at fostering local shopping at Notre-Dame-de-Grâce businesses thru active transportation and public transit. It's objectives are to raise Notre-Dame-de-Grâce resident's awareness of the importance of active transportation and public transit for local shopping and to raise awareness of local merchants to the importance of linking local shopping, means of transportation, environment and public health.

In 2009, four activities where offered :

  • a bike tour of Notre-Dame-de-Grâce main business roads,
  • a series of articles published in local papers,
  • a contest and
  • NDG 2009 Eco-Fest.

Côte-des-Neiges en fête, 5 continents, 5 sens

The CDEC participated in organizing the 7th edition of a street event called "Côte-des-Neiges en Fête, 5 continents, 5 sens."

The event focused on music, dance and visual arts, as well as on the history of the neighbourhood. The event included street animation and information kiosks put together by local community groups.

This initiative represented a massive collective effort to celebrate the Côte-des-Neiges neighbourhood.

The 2009 event took place on Sunday, September 13 from 12:00 am to 5:00 pm . Events unfolded over the entire length of Côte-des-Neiges Road, from Queen Mary Road to Jean-Talon Street.
